The North Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) announced that it has hired three new employees: Heather Kouns as Director of Destination Projects; Everett Gaither as Communications Coordinator, and Tim Carr as Events Coordinator.
“The North Little Rock CVB is now fully-staffed and equipped to succeed in making North Little Rock the best tourism destination it can be,” said Karen Trevino, North Little Rock CVB President and CEO. “New responsibilities, such as managing a downtown welcome center with retail shop and Argenta Plaza, made it clear that we needed to expand the team. In the few months they’ve come on board, Heather, Everett and Tim have already proven to be valuable members of our team.”
A graduate of Florida State University, Kouns has four years of event planning and project management experience and previously served as Operations Manager & Project Lead for NWA Courier in Bentonville, Arkansas. As Director of Destination Projects, she manages tourism projects such as North Little Rock CVB’s “Setting the Table” culinary initiative and improvements to Downtown Riverside RV Park.

Gaither is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas and has managed communications for multiple non-profit organizations in Wyoming for five years. As communications coordinator, he assists with media relations and marketing North Little Rock tourism initiatives, such as Downtown Riverside RV Park and niche markets.

A North Little Rock High School graduate, Carr worked part-time for the North Little Rock CVB in summer 2021 before being promoted to events coordinator. He assists with event logistics, Argenta Plaza management and videography.
